Throughout his professional career, Chef Mercuri has established himself as a leading authority in the restaurant scene. He was critically acclaimed during his time as Executive Chef and owner of Bronte Restaurant, which was named the best new restaurant in Canada by En Route magazine.

Chef Mercuri mainly uses local ingredients and is inspired by his Italian roots as well as his classical French culinary training. That said, his cuisine does not adhere to only one or two particular styles. He draws inspiration from the Canadian cultural mosaic in Canada that makes our country so unique.

Thursday’s Montréal

A Montréal institution since the 1970s, the restaurant was saved from the wrecking ball a few years ago and got a makeover instead. Patrons past and present are fans of the new look; a cozy bar-bistro-club with a classy, vintage feel. The menu, famous for its steak tartare and rack of lamb, has kept those beloved highlights, but added worthy new choices with the help of veteran French chef Jean-Phillippe Matheussen.
